How Our Academic Intervention Program Works?

We are honored to meet your child where they are, which will prepare them to meet grade level expectations. We do not "teach to the test", we teach to the student based on grade level standards and expectations. Our Intervention strategies are aligned with the state of Florida educational standards. We offer conceptualized tutoring to meet the needs of all students, we do not use a "one size fits all" approach. A learning plan is created specifically for your child based on their individual needs and learning style. This plan details the gaps in the core foundation and the course of action that will be taken to improve students' educational experience. We collaborate with classroom teachers through consultation to help determine needs of each student based on requirements of the curriculum and observation of the student's performance in the classroom setting. Students are provided tools to explore and discover learning to build conceptual knowledge.

Our Process Step By Step

1. Our learning approach begins with building confidence within each learner through cooperative learning strategies.

2. Students participate in a diagnostic evaluation to determine current level of performance. The diagnostic includes assessment of each student's academic performance, ability to understand language, and preference of learning style. A profile is created for each student. This profile allows the study of each child's foundation outlining specific strengths and weaknesses and aids with creating a study plan.

3. A study plan is created catering to each child's specific needs, the weaknesses within their foundation, input from parents and the classroom teacher.

4. As students’ progress through the program, a progress monitoring assessment is completed to determine growth and need for adjustments.

5. Students participate in various hands on learning explorations where they are given an opportunity to conceptualize and manipulate concepts.

6: Once students have built conceptualized knowledge in which they are able to apply learning to other concepts we enrich their learning experience by adding a variety of concepts.
